I am in love with anything linen and have been eyeing this dress for a time; so, when it went on deep discount I thought I would give it a try and am very glad I did. I ordered in the FIG colour, hoping the shade would be good. Shade is perfect. I would describe it as a dark, but slightly muted burgundy. Though hard to tell from the pictures, the shape is actually slightly fitted. The stick models made this almost invisible. I normally order XL but based on the measurements online ordered L and it fits perfectly with a bit of room. Still, the slightly fitted shaped makes it polished and not a shapeless sack. The long string ties though, serve no purpose as I don't need them to hold up the straps. I am going to have a tailor attach the strings on each side of the dress a bit below my bust/ above waist so that I can tie them either at the front or the back, for an 'empire' waist effect. But even just hanging and without the ties, the dress still has shape. The linen is light and airy and only slightly transparent, not full on see through. I so loved this shape that I have ordered another in the Black. I thought about the natural linen colour but thought I would get more use out of the black. Bottom line, this is a very flattering style and a very good value at the current sale price.
