Elevate your Loungewear Basics

Elevate your Loungewear Basics

The past months of social distancing, social bubbles, isolation and quarantine have brought us back home, back to the nest, back to pleasure-seeking habits and back to sweatpants and pyjamas all-day.  WFH is the new normal and dressing from the waist up is a thing.  We have embraced our comfort, living in lounge.

So, when we do need to head to the office, walk the dog, venture out or meet someone for a socially distant coffee, we want nothing more than to take our comfort zone with us.  Our in-house stylist, Lisa Devine, tells us, “to choose comfort-based basics to create a variety of outfits for any occasion; at home on zoom, out-and-about or an evening at your favourite restaurant (even if that means takeout on your couch).”

Lisa gravitates to our classic satin bottom, the Rome Trouser, when thinking of a basic that will transition easily from couch to café.  By pairing Rome with one of our favourite foundation pieces, the Vittoria Cami, she creates a perfectly-elevated lounge set to use as a base for many great looks.

Pairing this same basic outfit with the wool-blend Mason Cardi shows off the delicate lace of the Vittoria Satin Cami while the warmth of the sweater keeps you cozy.

Another basic that’s on rotation in Lisa’s closet these days, is the Florence satin chemise. A lightweight layering not-so-basic basic, the Florence highlight is the lace trimmed hem. Paired with a chunky boot, a toque and our Amy sweater, Lisa pulls off style while comfort is still her top priority.

Wherever you are, whatever you are doing, Paper Label basics or foundation pieces make transitions easy; dress-up, dress-down, or just lounge.

  • Thanks for the styling tips. I loved looking at the photos to see how I can take them to the streets.
